Freya's Meadow
Another face of the Great Goddess. As Goddess of love and plants and the joy of life, our warm, nurturing Sun Mother presides over groni godes wang - the divine meadow. Her sunshine flowers, Daisies (old English – Day’s Eyes), follow her path across the sky. Daisies are called Gänseblümche’ (Goose flowers) because of their association with Her, Mother Goose. Souls fly with Freya in the form of geese, especially wild geese, in her care. Reposing on goose down bedding at the end of each day, we slip out of waking consciousness and join their flight in our dreams.
