How many times have we gone along, living our “normal” life, when we are suddenly plunged into disaster, initiation, or disorientation of one kind or another? The truth is, this is normal life. Frau Holle (also known as Mother Goose or Mother Hubbard), our kindly Earth Mother, is here to nurture and hold us as we navigate the depths of the unknown and use the best of our character traits to learn the lessons our trials have to teach us. We emerge on the other side with more wisdom and strength than if we had never gone through such pain and darkness. You will find her in the Light Realm underground beneath the Elder tree. There she stands at her cottage hearth, dropping and stirring our sufferings into her bubbling kettle, transforming them into a nourishing stew.
